“An investment in knowledge always pays the best interest.” ―Benjamin Franklin
According to the Association for Talent Development (ATD), companies that offer comprehensive training programs have 218% higher income per employee than companies without formalized training. But it doesn’t stop there. These companies also enjoy a 24% higher profit margin than those who spend less on training. It would seem that continuing to invest in training and development, even when there are economic downturns, is the smart play.

As of the 2010 census, there were an estimated 92,638 Kenyan-born persons living in the United States. This number is higher now and we have not included our children. The opportunity we have now more than ever as Kenya born Americans is to impact our local communities and this will take the whole community having an understanding beyond our basic needs.
Our conversation on personal and professional development will focus on understanding our contributors’ journeys, where we are as a community in reference to our topic and hopefully identify the competitive edge needed to compete in a global economy
